| Defoamer for Dispersion Coatings 19 00 02 Properties: This defoamer counteracts the foaming of dispersion coatings, particularly after dilution with water. It can be used for all dispersion coatings. Special recommendation: Generally, our coating systems are designed in a way that no foaming problems are to be expected under standard processing conditions and according to the possibilities presently available. If you should still experience foaming - besides inappropriate dilution - the following reasons may be reponsible: a) Bends in the supply pipe lead to turbulences due to the high circulation flow rate and this will cause foaming. b) The cross section of filters and / or supply pipes has become smaller because of sedimentation and dirt accumalation. This will also accelerate the flow rate and thus lead to foaming. c) The coating type was changed. Incompatibilities of the coating formulations may cause problems when residues of the old coating type from the supply pipe react with the new coating by foam forming, e.g. when a dilution is necessary. d) Mixing of the dispersion coating with water: The defoamer has to be mixed in while stirring, it must be completely distributed. Dosage: 0.5 - max. 1.0 % Processing: The defoamer must be mixed into the dispersion coating while stirring. Note: Do not use this product for fountain solution circuit systems.
